3T3 Fibroblast Cell Lines for Clinical Applications

3T3 fibroblasts are used as feeder cells in culturing human keratinocytes for use in a variety of applications, including:

  • Skin gene therapy
  • Skin grafts
  • Wound healing research
The Waisman Clinical Biomanufacturing Facility (WCBF) is now offering irradiated 3T3 feeder cells that have been produced and tested according to cGMP guidelines. These cells will be provided to researchers on a non-profit basis under a contract from the National Institute of Arthritis and Musculoskeletal and Skin Diseases (NIAMS) to support skin gene therapy and wound healing clinical trials.

Product Specifications:

  • Cells per vial: >3 X 106
  • Plating Efficiency: 1 vial will seed a P100 culture dish to > 30% confluence
  • Endotoxin: < 10 EU /ml
  • Sterility (as per 21 CFR 610.12): No growth
  • Mycoplasma: Negative
  • Cryopreservation Media: 10-20% bovine serum and 10% DMSO in DMEM (1 ml)
