I am pleased that you wish to use some of our head-related transfer function data in connection with your research. Before I can give you the data, there are some formalities that we will have to pursue. The most important is that you fill out the University of Wisconsin Materials Transfer Agreement (MTA), which can be downloaded below. The essence of this agreement is that you promise to use the data for research purposes only and not distribute the data to others. As soon as I receive the agreement, signed by you and by a representative of your institution, I will release the data. Please be sure to fill in your name, address and the name of your institution where appropriate on the agreement. In the interest of speed, I strongly recommend Faxing the signed agreement to me at 608/263-2918. The data are in electronic form (ASCII or binary) and the files are rather large. As a result it is not feasible for me to send the data on floppies. You will need Internet access (FTP) to receive the data. Most browsers will be able to get the files from ftp://HDRL.Waisman.Wisc.Edu/ You may wish to try this link in advance to make sure you will not have problems.
The Material Transfer Agreement can be filled out here.
Print and sign it,
fax the signed aggreement to 608-263-2918
with your email address, and I will forward instructions that will enable you to download the data.If you need help or have any further questions please contact Chiron Stevens.
